How did Sidharth Malhotra propose to Kiara Advani?
Starting the conversation when Sidharth Malhotra appeared in the last season of Koffee with Karan, Kiara Advani said, "You know when Sid came for that episode, he just came back from Rome where he proposed to me."
Karan replies, "That I knew but I could not tell because they had FaceTimed me right after they got..so we love proposal stories. In Rome, I know you went on a family holiday before the wedding. You went with Sid's parents. Your parents weren't on that holiday."
Kiara then said, "My parents weren't there. It was our first family holiday, with me and his family. I had a little bit of inclination that he would propose." Karan then asks, "That's not fun, how did you know?"
Kiara answered, "So when we decided and we told each other that this is what we want for the rest of our lives, I said all this is fine but you have to speak to my parents. He said, 'Are you kidding me?' I said ya you first ask them and get their permission. Let's do it the right way they will be happy. My mom unfortunately had COVID so she could not travel with us. My parents were in Mumbai, and I went with his parents. It did come as a surprise. I didn't know where on this trip and in my mind I hope he does propose because now I have built it up."
Karan then further inquired, "Where did it happen in Rome?"
After that, Kiara narrated and said, "It was the first destination we went to on that trip. He took us to this Michelin star restaurant and his nephew was with us, the one who was supposed to take photos and capture the moment and everything. I am sleepy because I just landed and joined them on this trip. So, I was like really tired. I was not expecting it so early. But planned all that. He's done this candlelight dinner on top. We go back after dinner, he takes me up. We go up and suddenly the violinist comes out of the bushes playing. And sweetly his nephew is taking our video from behind the bushes. Then, Sid goes on one knee and proposes. And I was so overwhelmed that I didn't say anything. And he, after his whole speech, doesn't know what to say to me. And then he starts singing the lines of Shershaah."
