The Delhi-Amritsar High Speed Rail (DAMHSR) corridor is an Indian planned bullet train corridor connecting the national capital, New Delhi, with Amritsar in Punjab. The route passes through major Haryana cities such as Jhajjar, Rohtak, Sonipat, Panipat, Karnal, and Ambala. The travel time between the two cities would be brought down to merely 2 hours at a top speed of 350 km/hr.

With an average speed of 250 km per hour, it will be able to cover the distance of long hours in only a couple of hours. After the center's ambitious bullet train project connecting Mumbai and Ahmedabad becomes operational, a bullet train will operate between Delhi and Amritsar. The government has planned to operate the train on 10 routes. For that, they have already drawn up a feasibility report. Hence, the survey has been initiated while negotiating with farmers to surrender their land for the bullet train project.
Survey
The survey has started to operate a bullet train between the national capital and Amritsar in Punjab. To clear the path for the bullet train track, the government will purchase land from 343 villages in Haryana and Punjab. The news has been confirmed by Amritsar Lok Sabha MP Gurjeet Singh Aujla, who said travel time would be shortened to merely 2 hours once the project is started.
