Before the rape, the SHO reportedly made an obscene video of the woman constable. Later, he threatened the woman constable that if she told anything to anyone, he would make her video viral. Despite the threat, the woman did not get scare and filed an FIR against him to get justice. Police have registered a case against Kulwinder Singh, SHO of Thana Mullapur Dakha in Ludhiana Dehat. The SHO is reportedly absconding since the incident.

Reports suggest that the SHO made an obscene video of the woman constable, then raped her. After that, the Ludhiana SHO blackmailed the constable to leak her video online. In the complaint given to the police, the female constable revealed that she is posted in Mullapur Dakha police station. The SHO there, Kulwinder, had been doing obscene acts with her for a long time.
The female constable revealed that SHO Kulwinder Singh took her to his farmhouse in the car 2 days ago on the pretext of meeting his children and wife. When she reached the farmhouse, there was no one there. The SHO raped her there.
