Veteran filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani recently confirmed working on Munna Bhai 3. Yes! you heard it right. Munna Bhai 3 is among the most awaited sequels that fans are eagerly waiting for many years. Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi starrer Munna Bhai has become a cult classic movie of Hindi film-industry that is loved by everyone. Munna Bhai M.B.B.S. was released in 2003 and it introduced India to the unique character of a soft-hearted gangster named Munna or Murli Prasad Sharma played by Sanjay Dutt. Also, Arshad Warsi gained massive recognition who played the character of Circuit aka Sirkeshwar Prasad who is Munna's right hand-cum-friend.
After the massive success of Munna Bhai M.B.B.S., Rajkumar Hirani made Lage Raho Munna Bhai featuring Sanjay Dutt, and Arshad Warsi. Vidya Balan was the lead actress in the movie. The movie was released in 2006 and it again became a blockbuster. Now, for almost 19 years, fans have been early waiting for Munna Bhai 3. At times there were brief updates came like Munna Bhai Chale America, but it was never confirmed.
Munna Bhai 3 Release
Now, filmmaker Raju Hirani has finally spilled the beans on Munna Bhai 3 and said that he has already started writing about it. Hirani made the announcement in a podcast with Komal Nahta. Below is what he said-
"I have not left it. I want to make it till now. Right now I have an idea that is with me for the past 2 to 3 years. Before that, I wrote Munna Bhai Chale America. But, the script did not go up to the point as expected, so I left it. Then some things turn outdated. Then I thought of Munna Bhai BA LLB, I wrote it as well but it is like if you don't have knowledge of a particular world, the script does not reach that conclusion.
"I felt that I needed to go deep into the legal world but till then Jolly LLB was made. It was quite a good movie. But, now, I have a subject for Munna Bhai 3 that is unique. I am working on it. Let's see where it goes. (Kayi baar aiesa hota hai ki aap 6 mahina kaam karey ho kabhi ban jata hai script kabhi ni ban pata) But I really want to make one," added Rajkumar Hirani."
Hirani also revealed that at first, Munna Bhai was the story about three friends but later he changed the script and idea.
