In a shocking development, an employee of the accounts department of Golden Temple on Saturday was murdered after a clash with another employee. The deceased has been identified as Darbara Singh and a clash took place at 1: 30 pm (IST) with another employee named Sukhbir Singh of the same department. Immediately after the incident, the employee was admitted to the hospital, but he died during treatment. The police have started action based on statements.
According to the initial investigation, it is revealed that an argument started between SGPC employees Sukhbir Singh and Darbara Singh working in the accounts branch over something. Sevadar Darbara Singh was sent to Sri Guru Ramdas Hospital for treatment by ambulance in a state of unconsciousness where doctors declared him dead. Talking about this, Secretary of SGPC Pratap Singh said that both the employees belong to SGPC and there was a quarrel due to domestic conflict during which a fight broke out between them during lunchtime. SGPC officials stated that both of them have family relations and there was a fight between them at home this morning as well.
In the afternoon, the fight between the two started again in the Golden Temple. The accused Sukhbir Singh reportedly attacked Darbara Singh with a sword 5 times. He kept attacking until Darbara Singh fell unconscious. After the incident, Sukhbir Singh fled from the spot. The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee informed the local police about this. After which the accused is being searched.
