Delhi Chief Minister & AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday launched a scathing attack on the BJP party after Delhi Police arrested Baibhav Kumar in Swati Maliwal assault case. Baibhav Kumar, former PA of Arvind Kejriwal, was arrested by Delhi Police after Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal was allegedly assaulted by him. At first, AAP accepted that AAP Rajya Sabha MP was manhandled by Baibhav Kumar at Delhi CM's home, but when she filed an FIR, AAP accused the former DCW chief of being the pawn of BJP. In fact, Delhi Minister Atishi accused Swati Maliwal of visiting AAP Supremo's house so that she could frame him.
On Saturday addressing a press conference, Arvind Kejriwal said that BJP is arresting AAP MPs and MLAs. AAP National Convenor also said that Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha will be arrested next. Hence, Kejriwal said that he along with senior party leaders will visit the BJP headquarters on 12 pm tomorrow and PM Modi can arrest anyone he wants. Below is what Arvind Kejriwal said-
"I was put into jail, Manish Sisodia was put into jail, Satyendar Jain was put into jail, Sanjay Singh was put into jail, today my PA has been arrested. Now, they are saying that Raghav Chadha has returned from London. He will be arrested next. After a few days, Saurabh Bharadwaj will be arrested. Atishi as well. I was thinking why the BJP wants to put all of us in jail? Then, I realised they are only doing it because they cannot make high-class government schools like us...."
Talking about Baibhav Kumar's arrest, Lawyer and Delhi State President AAP Legal Cell, Adv Sanjeev Nasair said, "We had this apprehension that as soon as it feels that the court is convinced and it reserves the order, Delhi Police can play a game. Delhi Police is not doing this on its own, it is doing this under political pressure. BJP is rattled, it feels that it is going to lose the general elections. This was a part of that conspiracy..."
AAP Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha returns India
Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Member Parliament (MP) Raghav Chadha reached Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’ residence on Saturday. Raghav Chadha had been undergoing eye surgery in UK and had been away from the political landscape for quite a long time. It was reported that the AAP leader was in the UK to undergo a vitrectomy surgery to prevent the eye’s retinal detachment. This condition is characterised by the development of small holes in the retina. It is extremely dangerous for vision and needs to be treated right away to avoid permanent damage.
