In a major development, an NRI going back to America was arrested from Sri Guru Ramdas Ji International Airport in Amritsar, Punjab. The NRI had come to his village Gurdaspur and was living there for a long time. When his luggage was checked before the flight at Amritsar Airport, CISF personnel recovered fifteen 9 mm bullets from his bag.
As per the information received, CISF Sub Inspector KS Victor at Amritsar Airport Police Station revealed that the accused has been identified as Amardeep Singh son of Sarabjit Singh, a resident of New Jersey. Amardeep Singh was about to catch a flight from Amritsar Airport to go to America. According to the complaint, ASI Baljit Singh checked the luggage of the passengers on Friday, especially for those going to the USA.
During this time, when Amardeep Singh's luggage was checked, 15 bullets of 9 mm were recovered from it. After which he was immediately arrested. At present, on the complaint of CISF officials, a case has been registered in the airport police station under FIR 34 Under Arms Act 25/24/ 59A under BNS.
