A petrol pump employee fatally shot by three unidentified bikers late at night in Kapurthala, Punjab

The armed assailant shot Khulwant Singh before fleeing with two others. Seriously injured, Singh was initially admitted to a private hospital in Jalandhar.

In Kapurthala, Punjab, on February 2, three masked miscreants on a motorcycle fired gunshots at a petrol pump employee when he came to fill petrol at the HP petrol pump located on Goindwal Sahib Road in Kapurthala, late at night. 

The entire incident was captured on the CCTV camera of the petrol pump. According to the information, three masked bike riders came to the petrol pump located near village Khirawali late at night at around 9.30 pm. After filling petrol, they got into an argument with the pump employee over something. Meanwhile, Kulwant Singh, who was on duty there, reached the spot. One of the miscreants had a chisel and the other had a pistol. 

The pistol-wielding miscreant shot Kulwant Singh, after which all three fled from the spot. Seriously injured Kulwant Singh was first admitted to a private hospital in Jalandhar. When his condition became critical, he was referred to Ludhiana, where doctors declared him dead. SSP Kapurthala Gaurav Toora confirming the incident, said that the police team is identifying the miscreants based on CCTV footage and they will be arrested soon.
