The process of filing nominations to Lok Sabha Elections 2024 on Monday resumed in Punjab with candidates submitting their required documents including affidavits declaring their income in the last five years. The Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of Punjab Sibin C informed that 29 nominations were filed from Gurdaspur, 21 in Amritsar, 20 in Khadoor Sahib, 10 in Jalandhar, 8 in Hoshairpur, 19 in Anandpur Sahib, 19 in Ludhiana, 6 in Fatehgarh Sahib, 8 in Faridkot, 14 in Bathinda, 16 in Sangrur, 21 in Patiala, and 18 in Ferozepur. How much did Harsimrat Kaur Badal declare her net worth?
According to the affidavit filed by the former Union Minister, Harsimrat did not buy any jewellery in the last 5 years. Still, she has jewellery worth Rs 7 crore. Harsimrat's annual income has increased. During her nomination in 2019, she had declared her income as Rs 19 lakh. This has now increased to 31 lakhs. Harsimrat Badal's husband Sukhbir Badal has also bought a Land Rover car worth Rs 1.5 crore. This is the first car the Badal family bought in the last 5 years. Till 2019, Harsimrat Badal's husband Sukhbir Badal had only two tractors worth Rs 2.38 lakh. However, this time she has mentioned a Land Rover in her affidavit.
