While the Russia-Ukraine war does not seem to end in the coming days, a man named Rakesh Yadav recently returned to his home after being trapped in the war for 8 months. Rakesh Yadav was forced to fight in the Russia-Ukraine war. While the topic of Indians fighting in the Russia-Ukraine war has been echoed in the Parliament, the man from Uttar Pradesh recently narrated the horrific truth of the frontline and how travel agents wiped Rs 45 lakhs from his bank account.
Rakesh Yadav came to Nirmal Kutia in Sultanpur Lodhi with other fellow families to thank Rajya Sabha member Sant Balbir Singh Seechewal. Rakesh Yadav expressed his heartfelt gratitude to him, due to whom he was able to return to his family safely.
While speaking to the media, Rakesh Yadav made many sensational revelations about the situation there in front of Sant Balbir Singh Seechewal. Yadav revealed that one of his colleagues was killed in a drone attack by Ukraine there. His life was saved because he jumped into the bunker as soon as he saw the drone.
Similarly, referring to another incident, he said that on 17 June 2024, one of his colleagues died in a grenade explosion there. But the surprising thing is that the news of the death of his colleague who was martyred in the Russian army was given to his family by the Russian authorities after six months. Rakesh Yadav, who returned from Russia, and his five family members also reached Nirmal Kutia Sultanpur Lodhi.
Rajya Sabha member Sant Balbir Singh Seechewal assured the families that he will take up the matter with the Ministry of External Affairs and will try to raise the issue in the current session of Parliament.
'Travel agents wiped out Rs 45 lakhs from bank account'
Rakesh Yadav further revealed that bank accounts were forcibly opened by agents whose PINs were also with the agents. He said that the agents withdrew about Rs 45 lakhs from his account, which he had received as a living wage in the army and compensation given by the government during injury. He said that this has not only been done with him but with all the Indians who are forced to work in the army.
Rakesh claimed that even now 25 Indians are forced to fight in Russia. Rakesh Yadav, who returned from Russia, further said that he and about five other companions were called by the agent eight months ago for the job of Home Guard, but as soon as they reached there, they were forcibly recruited into the Russian army and were made to sign a document in the Russian language.
They were beaten up when they refused repeatedly. After 15 days of weapon training, they were thrown into the Russia-Ukraine war. The situation there was very bad. There were firing and bomb blasts many times, his hand was also injured in the bomb blast there. Along with Rakesh Yadav, five other families from Punjab, Pune, Kashmir, and UP also reached Nirmal Kutiya. These families handed over a letter to Sant Seechewal and appealed for help for the return of their family members trapped in the Russian army.
Jagdeep, brother of Divyang Mandeep trapped in the Russian army from Punjab, said that he has not spoken to Mandeep since March 3. At the same time, the family members of Kanhaiya-Deepak Kumar, who were trapped in Russia, came from UP and said that Kanhaiya and Deepak were injured on the battlefield due to a grenade explosion. The family members said that there was no conversation between them after June.
Sant Seechewal thanked the Government of India and especially the Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar. He said that the first case in this regard came to his attention during March 2024 of Gurpreet, a resident of Punjab, and his eight other companions trapped in the Russian army with him. Who returned during the month of August-September with the cooperation of the Ministry of External Affairs. He appealed to the Government of India and the Ministry of External Affairs to bring back the Indians as soon as possible, take strict action against the agents involved in this gang, and get the youth their rightful earnings.
