After voting in 5 municipal corporations of Punjab, the results are now coming. In Ludhiana MC Elections 2024, Mamta Ashu, wife of former Congress minister Bharat Bhushan Ashu, suffered defeat. She was defeated by AAP's Gurpreet Babbar. At the same time, in ward number 77, BJP candidate Poonam Ratada defeated MLA Ashok Parashar Pappi's wife Meenu Parashar. There are a total of 95 wards in which AAP secured victory in 41 wards, Congress won in 30 wards, the BJP in 19 wards, SAD in 2 wards, independent candidates in 3 wards.
