According to the Apple Weather app, there will be no more rainfall in Punjab in the month of January this year. As per the weather forecast app, next rainfall will be witnessed in the month of February in Punjab.
As per the Apple weather app, on 4th February, Tuesday, cities across Punjab, including Amritsar, Jalandhar and Ludhiana East, are predicted to experience rainfall, with a 45% chance of precipitation. Additionally, on 5th February, Wednesday, there is a 60% chance of rain in Jalandhar and Amritsar.
Dr. Pavneet Kaur Kingra, a weather expert from PAU, has informed that temperature is 2 to 3 degrees higher than normal in Punjab. Last January, the cold was much harsher, but this year it isn’t severe. Dr. Kingra has explained that while cold weather typically starts in December, this year it’s been arrived late.
According to the meteorological department, the coming days are also likely to remain mostly dry. The skies are expected to stay sunny and temperature may continue to rise, indicating warmer days ahead.
According to the meteorological department, Punjab has received 37 per cent less rainfall from 1st to 22nd January. Due to this, Punjab has been put in the red zone as well.
As per the meteorological department, 12.3 mm rainfall has been received in the state in the first 22 days of January. But this year too, the rainfall has been much less than usual. Punjab has received a total of 8.3 mm rainfall, which is 32 per cent less than normal.
