Rama Mandi SHO has been accused of taking Rs 2.5 lakh to release the detained female workers and Spa Center owner's wife. Below is what happened and Rama Mandi's SHO arrest reason-

Why was Rama Mandi SHO arrested?

As per reports, Rama Mandi SHO Rajesh Arora and two others have been booked under section 342 of IPC including the Corruption Act. The case was registered early in the morning on Friday and the SHO was immediately taken into custody from the police station itself. As per reports, Rajesh Kumar alias Sabi in his statement given to the police informed that he is a resident of Taran Enclave, Dakoha (Ramamandi) who runs a spa center named Grand Body near Ramamandi. Sabi reportedly informed the police that on Wednesday at around 4 pm, police personnel Anwar and Sandeep along with their team raided his spa center.

Sabi's wife Geeta was present at the Spa Center when the raid was carried out. As a result, four female workers and Geeta were detained and taken downtown. Notably, Sai informed that despite the presence of female workers, no ladies constable were present during the raid. During the raid, the women were reportedly harassed by both Anwar and Sandeep. Not only this, but the CCTV installed inside was forcefully switched off.

After the raid, all the female workers were taken to Nangal Shama outpost of Ramamandi police station and were kept there. In his statements given to the police, Sabi said that when he came to know about this, he immediately reached the spot. After which the police released Sabi's wife and his four female workers without registering a case. In return, a demand of about Rs 2.50 lakh was made.

Sabi somehow collected Rs 2.5 lakh and gave it to the police. As per the statement registered, both Anwar and Sandeep told Sabi that the money has to be given to Rajesh Arora, hence he cannot pay less than Rs 2.5 lakh. As a result, Sabi gave the money, but later he complained about the matter to higher police officials.
