With Love, Meghan - a web series that was released on March 4 on Netflix, expresses Meghan Markles’ personal tips and tricks for hosting. The show is all about home cooking and entertainment, which she learned over the passage of the year.
Netflix has announced that it will be launching another season of the series later this fall as the filming for the second season has also been completed.
However, the series by the Duchess of Sussex has been highly criticized by the father of Meghan Markle - Thomas Markle, who recently expressed disappointment during an interview with the Daily Mail on Sunday.
Thomas Markle termed the series inauthentic and disconnected from reality and mentioned that his daughter is “faking it for the cameras and trying hard to protect her image publicly.”
Meghan has shared her love towards jam-making in her latest series and also outlined her love towards her late grandmother who died in 2011. On the contrary, her father mentioned that his mother never liked Meghan’s decision to leave Markle's name.
During the interview, Thomas Markle stated, “My mum loved Meghan very much, but she would be so disappointed to hear that Meghan no longer wants to use the name ‘Markle.’ My mother was proud to be a Markle. So am I. Meghan never had a problem with the Markle name until she met Prince Harry. Now I have to say, ‘I am Meghan Sussex’s dad,” according to Daily Mail.
Thomas Markle has also mentioned that he hasn’t watched the entire web series but has seen a few clips online, according to which he made all these perceptions and claimed that the series is overly scripted.
As per Daily Mail, Meghan’s father mentioned, “You have to be authentic to hold people’s attention. Unfortunately, Meghan has never been authentic. She has to think about everything. She’s not spontaneous. Everything she says is pre-planned and rehearsed.”
Furthermore, he stated that the way Meghan cooked spaghetti was also unconventional. While criticizing the same, Thomas noted that the Duchess of Sussex mixes raw pasta with vegetables rather than boiling it separately. He stated, “Who makes spaghetti that way? You always boil the water, then add the spaghetti. It’s the most basic thing.”
