Railways has provided facilities to passengers during the festival season. The Indian Railways has run 13 trains so that passengers can travel during this festive season. Apart from this, 20 trains will also remain cancelled from December to March due to fog.
On the other hand, passenger trains are also running late from their scheduled time. Due to this, passengers are facing a lot of trouble. Passenger trains of Firozpur division have been affected due to one reason or the other since September. First due to the work going on at Cantt station and then due to non-interlocking work at Chahed railway station, trains were being cancelled and short terminated.
To help the passengers, 13 special festival trains are being run by the Railways. Despite this, there is no space even in the general coaches of the trains. Swarn Shatabdi was late from its scheduled time on Saturday. At the same time, passenger trains are running and reaching with a delay of 2 to 4 hours.
