Is Speak No Evil a real story?
The answer is yes. As mentioned above, Speak No Evil starring James McAvoy is an American adaptation of a Danish movie of the same name. the maker of the original movie which was released in 2022 confirmed that the story was real but there is a catch.
The creator of Danish version of Speak No Evil, Christian Tafdrup in an interview with dreadcentral said, "It is a little bit out of our own experiences. Since I was a child, my brother and I, we wrote [the script] together and we traveled a lot with our parents like this. We were often in Italy meeting people from other countries and making holiday friends. Then sometimes we saw them again and it was not like in the movie <laugh> But it was always awkward and a little bit, you know, surprising. We didn’t think they lived like this."
"So we ended up, you know, in some strange province in Germany or someplace outside Amsterdam. So I always thought about that as a great situation. Then I think I had an experience in 2016 with my girlfriend and our daughter. She was three and we actually met a Dutch couple and I kind of wrote the script a little bit with inspiration from them. And we made friends, they invited us to their home, and we said no. But I thought what would have happened if we have visited them? And immediately it was more a horror film than a comedy, even though it would be so obviously a comedy," added Tafdrup.
There, it can be said that Speak No Evil is a true story based on the creator's personal experience.
Where did Paddy go on a double date?
For those who haven't watched, Paddy's wife Ciara asks Louise and Ben if they are interested in going a double date at a special place 'by the sea'. Ciara says, "Paddy and I would like to invite you for dinner tonight. There's this guy Mike. He is a bit of a local legend. Rumor has it he is a poacher but he is an amazing cook. And, he has this little place by the sea. A private room like a chef's table.."

The place where they go on a double date has left everyone mesamrised. Notably, True Scoop tried to dig more about the place where only one house is present by the sea and we hit some positive results.
The most similar result on Google was directed towards Eilean Glas Lighthouse, Scotland. Notably, the movie also mentions that Lpuise and Ben travelling to 'The West Country' to spend a holiday. They are living in London. Hence, it seems logical that the place that has left everyone mesamirised is Eilean Glas Lighthouse, Scotland. It was one of the original four lights commissioned by the Commissioners of the Northern Lights, and the first in the Hebrides.
