Recently, on 26th December, South Korean television series Squid Game season 2 was released on Netflix. This season got released after a gap of 3 years. Producer Hwang Dong-hyuk’s Squid Game S2 starred Lee Jung-jae, Wi Ha-joon, Lee Byung-hun, Im Si-wan, Kang Ha-neul, Lee Jin-wook, Park Sung-hoon, Yang Dong-geun, Jo Yu-ri, Kang Ae-shim and Lee Seo-hwan.
The synopsis read, “Three years after winning Squid Game, Player 456 gave up going to the States and comes back with a new resolution in his mind, Gi-hun once again dives into the mysterious survival game, starting another life-or-death game with new participants gathered to win the prize of 45.6 billion won.” This season consisted of a total of 7 episodes.
Squid Game season 3 is expected to answer many of the questions left by the season 2. Viewers are eager to know if Gi-hun will get succeed in stopping this deadly game and who will take over as the new Frontman. The post-credit scenes show the infamous Red Light, Green Light doll, along with a new, boy-like doll. This suggests that more dangerous games are going to be played in the next season.
When is Squid Game S3 releasing?
Initially, Squid Game seasons 2 and 3 were made together, but the duration of the story led to the split. Squid Game Season 3 is all set to start streaming in 2025 on Netflix. However, details of season 3 are not revealed.
Director Hwang Dong-hyuk revealed about season 3 and said, “Seong Gi-hun who vowed revenge at the end of Season 1 returns and joins the game again. Will he succeed in getting his revenge? Front Man doesn’t seem to be an easy opponent this time either. The fierce clash between their two worlds will continue into the series finale with Season 3. I am thrilled to see the seed that was planted in creating a new Squid Game grow and bear fruit through the end of this story. We’ll do our best to make sure we bring you yet another thrill ride.
