With an order for suspension, another update has been surfacing about the tehsildars striking in Punjab. According to a notice circulating, the tehsildars have ended their strike after sensing the strict and firm stance of the Government of Punjab.

The strike was called off late in the evening.

Following the government's firm approach, the tehsildars have unconditionally announced their return to work and have declared the resumption of all tasks, including property registrations.

It is to be noted that this update by the tehsildars has been considered a relief for the people who were waiting for the completion of their property registrations. The process for registrations was completely halted due to the recent strike by the officers, causing inconvenience to the public.

However, despite calling the strike off, around 250 tehsildars, including 58 tehsildars and 177 naib tehsildars, have been transferred by the Punjab government.

It is worth mentioning that Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann had instructed all tehsildars to return to work after witnessing the difficulties faced by the public. Following this directive, some tehsildars resumed their duties, but a few remained firm in their decision to continue the strike, leading to the suspension of 16 tehsildars on March 4.

However, in response to the government's strict stance, the tehsildars have now ended their strike.
