At a time when Diljit Dosanjh's secret marriage has been doing rounds on social media ever since Ammy Virk hinted that the Punjabi singer is not single anymore, the G.O.A.T singer recently opened up on his first love (Pehla Pyar) and the story of his running away from home. Diljit Dosanjh recently appeared on Raj Shamani's podcast in which he opened up on many things related to his early life and even his first love. Diljit revealed that when he was only 8 years old he ran away from his house because he proposed to a girl in his school for marriage. Below is what Diljit revealed-
"I tried to run away from my home at the age of 8. There was a girl in my school. There were seniors at my school who were randomly asking everyone which girl they liked. Then, I answered, I like this girl. Then, I was asked to express it to the girl and then I will get married to her. Then, I went to the girl and told her that I liked her. I also said that we will get married. Then, she complained to my teacher. Madam asked me to bring my mother and father to the school. Then I thought that the world had ended. I was only 8 or 9 years old. Then, I opened a fridge took some fruits, and ran away on my cycle. For the first time, I crossed my village's border. Then, one person from my village saw me and asked where I was going. He scolded me and told me to go back home.
On being asked what happened next, Diljit said, "Then I did not go to school for the next two to three days saying my stomach was upset. Even my teacher took it lightly then."
Diljit Dosanjh's reaction to first love
During the podcast, when asked about his love life, Diljit said, "I love myself bro. I love myself like crazy, main apne aap nu bahut pyaar karda. Toh mujhe lagta hai pehla pyaar toh main hi hoon mera. Mera pehla pyaar main hi hoon (I love myself a lot. I think I am my first love)." He added in Punjabi, "I believe in first loving yourself before loving others. Take care of yourself first. If you are not loved by yourself and taken care of first, how will you give that love to someone else?"
