Libron, a beauty influencer, in her lot of videos, uses the phrase “very demure, very mindful’ while explaining her looks at work. The “Demure” trend started in early August when Jools posted a 38-second video showcasing her professional makeup look. “See how I do my make-up for work? Very demure, Very mindful. I don’t do too much. I’m very mindful while I’m at work. See how I look? Very presentable. A lot of you girls go to Interview, looking like Marge Simpson and go to the looking like patty and Selma, not demure.” She said in the tiktok video that propelled the word “demure” into the spotlight.
The dictionary defines “demure” as reserved, modest, serious, and shy while “mindful” means to be cautious and aware of something.
In one of the clips, she explains how she shows up at work. She says she doesn’t prefer heavy make-up, like winged eyeliner, and keeps her hair straight. "I do a brow gel, very considerate, very approachable, and very demure. Let's be mindful while we are at work, ladies; this is not a fashion show," says Lebron in the clip.
She has also advised her followers to stay demure in every kind of situations like in stressful situation or travelling with family. According to jools lebron “demure” means a subtle and controlled approach. In her videos, she suggests being early and composed at the airport. Even in lively settings like Las Vegas, she advises having a balance of restraints and charm, and at a drag show prioritizing the performers by maintaining a low profile
After Lebron's videos went viral, her followers and many people started using "very demure, very mindful" in various situations.
