1) Yo Yo Honey Singh Volume 1
One of the major controversies that Yo Yo Honey Singh: Famous will unravel is his links with the song Volume 1. The trailer mentions the controversy that put a black spot on Honey Singh's singing career in Bollywood. In fact, Honey Singh had to face Police complaints due to songs like Volume 1 and 'Mai Hoon Balatkaa..'.
Notably, in a podcast with Raj Shamani, Honey Singh had reacted to the Volume 1. Yo Yo Honey Singh had claimed that he wasn't behind the infamous songs Volume 1 and Volume 2. When asked about it, he said, "Kaunsa gaana gaa diya Maine."

According to the notice issued by the singer's counsel, Honey Singh alias Hirdesh Singh claimed that the lewd song is not in any way connected to his screen name Yo Yo Honey Singh as perceived otherwise by fans and public at large.

Honey got married to Shalini Talwar in January 2011 and in September 2022, after 11 years of marriage, a divorce petition was mutually moved in the family court under section 13B of the Hindu Marriage Act. The court accepted the petition granting them an interregnum period of six months.
