The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday announced that three-time Ujjain South MLA Mohan Yadav will be the new Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh. Mohan Yadav will now succeed Shivraj Singh Chouhan under whom the BJP registered a record victory at the Madhya Pradesh Assembly Elections. Mohan Yadav's name was approved in the party meeting at the state office of BJP in Bhopal. Mohan Yadav comes from the OBC category. Now, the question arises who is Mohan Yadav Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh? Below is what we know so far- 

 

Who is Mohan Yadav?

 

Mohan Yadav is a BJP leader and a member of the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly from the Ujjain Dakshin constituency in Ujjain district. For the first time, Yadav became an MLA in 2013 from Ujjain Dakshin seat. In 2018,  Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly elections, he was once again elected and became MLA from Ujjain Dakshin seat. On 2 July 2020, the BJP leader took the oath as a Cabinet Minister in the Madhya Pradesh Government headed by Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan.

 

After being named the new Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh,  Mohan Yadav said, "I am a small worker of the party. I thank all of you, the state leadership and the central leadership. With your love and support, I will try to fulfill my responsibilities." Yadav will now take oath in the Governor's office and thereafter he will formally take the charge of Chief Ministerial post of MP.
