In yet another proud moment for India, the team of Manu Bhaker and Sarabjot Singh on Tuesday won the second medal for the country at the Paris Olympics 2024. Sarabjot Singh and Manu Bhaker won a bronze medal in the 10 m Air Pistol mixed team event at the Chateauroux Shooting Centre. Before, the mixed team event, Manu Bhaker won bronze in women's 10m pistol shooting and ended medal draught of India in women's shooting. While Manu Bhaker became the first athlete in India to win two medals in a single edition of the Olympics, Sarabjot Singh also made the nation proud. Who is Sarabjot Singh?

As per reports, Sarabjot Singh hails from Dheen village of Ambala’s Barara block. Sarabjot Singh, 22, is the son of  Jatinder Singh, a farmer, and Hardeep Kaur, a homemaker. Sarabjot Singh reportedly did his studies at DAV College, Sector 10, Chandigarh. Sarabjot Singh reportedly got training under coach Abhishek Rana, Ambala Cantt-based AR Shooting Academy in Central Phoenix Club. 

Before the Paris Olympics, Sarabjot Singh was the part of Indian shooting team at the 2022 Asian Games, in Hangzhou, China. Sarabjot Singh's team participated in 10m air pistol and defeated China to win the gold at the 2022 Asian Games. Sarabjot Singh's Instagram account is filled with his shooting sports journey. Sarabjot Singh has more than 5000 followers on Instagram. 

Manu Bhaker and Sarabjot Singh defeated S Korea team by 16-10. In the 10m Air Pistol mixed team qualification, Manu and Sarabjot finished third with 580 points and 20 perfect shots. Manu & Sarabjot defeated the Korean pair of Xue Li and Wonho Lee 16-8, who finished fourth with 579 points and 18 perfect shots, in the bronze medal match.
