In some devastating news, a 25-year-old Punjabi youth was found murdered in Massey, New Zealand. The Youth, identified as Ramandeep Singh from Kotli Shahpur in Gurdaspur, was found dead in the park by the police on a Monday morning. He worked as a security guard for the Armourguard company.
Ramandeep was found unresponsive at the Royal Reserve Park in Beauchamp drive at midnight on Monday. A 26-year old man was arrested in relation to this case and charged with murder.
Ramandeep originally hailed from the village of Kotli Shahpur in the Gurdaspur district. He went to New Zealand in 2018 after completing his studies till 10+2 in India. One of his friends got the information regarding his death on Monday through a phone call. It was also revealed that he was murdered. He was the only child of his parents who are aggrieved at the news. The village of Kotli Shahpur is in mourning due to the incident.
In similar vein, another youth from Punjab was found dead in London. G.S. Bhatia from Jalandhar who was presumed missing since 15 December was found drowned in a lake. His death was ruled an accident, as CCTV video showed him jumping into the lake.
New Zealand authorities have launched a full-scale homicide investigation into the incident.
