Former Team India cricketer-turned-Punjabi actor Yograj Singh has broken the internet again and again because of his various comments. Yograj Singh, who is also the father of former Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh, has been going viral on social media after multiple clips from his latest interview went viral.
Yograj Singh was recently featured on Unfiltered with Samdish YouTube channel where he called himself 'the emperor of the universe' and talked about parenting style. However, what caught everyone's attention when Yograj Singh mocked the Hindi language and called Punjabi a 'manly' language. Below is an excerpt from the interview-
Yograj Singh mocks Hindi Language
When asked if he watches Hindi films, Yograj Singh said, "Are Hindi movies worth watching? I don't like Indian actors." When naming actors like Ranveer Singh or Ranbir Kapoor, he said, "All of them are useless." When naming Baahubali, he said, "What Baahubali, leave it."
"..Lawrence of Arabia, Godfather, these are pictures," said Yigraj Singh.
"I was traveling from Go Air. Then an announcement was made. You can talk in Hindi or English. I took it up and said I would talk in Punjabi and, I needed a glass of water (speaking in Punjabi), then only I would sit. Then an Air Hostess came and offered me the water. I said, "Give it to me, but don't announce this language."
"I feel the Hindi language is like a woman is speaking. I like it but only when a woman speaks. When a man speaks Hindi it's like who is even he. Manly language is like 'Ki Haal Hai Paaji Thik Thak? (Punjabi). This is the language," said Yograj Singh.
Mocking Hindi, Yograj Singh in woman voice says, "Aap Kaise Hain, Kya Kartey Hain.. (Hindi) Is this even a language? If someone says in Hindi I feel like I am falling. Because it lacks the power. I feel like I am the emperor.
It is pertinent to mention here that Yograj Singh's remarks on Hindi has come at a time when former Indian spinner Ravichandran Ashwin in his address sparked a row saying, 'Hindi is an official language and not a national language.
