In what came as a shock for millions of cricket fans around the world, Team India's star leggie Yuzvendra Chahal and his choreographer wife Dhanashree Verma are allegedly heading for a divorce. Yes! you heard it right. Yuzvendra Chahal & Dhanashree Verma's divorce rumors have resurfaced after multiple reports confirmed the development citing sources. TOI quoted a source who informed, "The divorce is inevitable, and it's only a matter of time before it becomes official. The exact reasons for their separation are not known yet, but it's clear that the couple has decided to move on with their lives separately."
Notably, it is not the first time Yuzi Chahal and Dhanashree Verma's divorce rumors have surfaced online. However, this time, Chahal and Dhanashree's divorce reports seem serious as the couple has unfollowed each other on social media. Not only this, but Chahal and Verma have deleted all the pictures that they snapped together on Instagram.
Dhanashree Verma has received online hate in the past by Yuzvendra Chahal's fans. However, Chahal a few years back had denied that he and his wife were separating. But for the past many months neither the couple has been spotted together nor they have posted anything on social media. Even during New Year's Eve, Chahal and Dhanashree were not together.
Trollers often linked Dhanashree's name to another Team India cricketer Shreyas Iyer on social media. Dhanashree's name started to link with Shreyas after she posted a dance reel with the former Kolkata Knight Rider skipper. Thereafter, they both were pictures of wedding celebrations.
It is pertinent to mention here that neither Dhanashree nor Yuzvendra Chahal have made any official comment on their breakup or divorce. The divorce rumours started gaining traction in 2023 after Dhanashree dropped 'Chahal' from her name on Instagram. This change came a day after Yuzvendra shared a cryptic Instagram story that read, "New life loading."
Dhanashree and Yuzvendra Chahal got married on December 11, 2020. Opening up about their love story on Jhalak Dikhla Jaa 11, Dhanashree said, "During the lockdown no matches were happening and all the cricketers were sitting at home and getting frustrated. During that time Yuzi decided one fine day that he wants to learn dance. He had seen my dance videos on social media and back in the day, I used to teach dance and he approached me to be my student. I agreed to teach him."
