Zenzo, a well-known emergency healthcare provider, has recently announced the launch of ambulance service in around 450 cities of India. The main motive behind this initiative is to provide health assistance to people within minutes. As per the reports, as many as 25,000 ambulances have been launched, all over the cities.
The ambulance service will be a resemblance to a cab on aggregator platform.
While explaining the newly launched step, the co-founder and chief executive officer of Zenzo - Shweta Mangal - during an interview with NDTV Profit mentioned that the main objective behind such an initiative is to provide quick medical aid to people, just like quick access to coffee, clothing or make-up.
As per Ms Mangal, these ambulances are equipped with 5G systems and the company has been planning to offer the service to the entire fleet. Furthermore, she expressed that ambulances feature both basic and advanced features and these facilities could be accessed through a centralized number, i.e. 1800 102 1298.
The pricing offered by Zenzo is the lowest but still it could compete with the market players, according to a statement given by Mangal during a press conference.
She was quoted saying, “We are working closely with insurance companies to make this process cashless. While we are still in the process of implementing it, as of now, depending on your coverage, you can get a reimbursement for ambulance charges from your insurance company,” as reported by NDTV Profit.
Along with this, the company has also partnered with Zomato to offer CPR and basic health emergency training to its delivery partners.
