CinemaCon 2023: Kraven the Hunter, Across the Spider-Verse & 9 other movies release date announced

While fans were eagerly waiting for the announcement of Spider-Man 4 and Venom 3, the CinemaCon 2023 had planned something different for day 1 of the event.

The much-awaited Sony's CinemaCon 2023 kickstarted on Monday in Las Vegas with the multiple awaited movies poster, teaser, and even announcement were dropped for the fans. While fans were eagerly waiting for the announcement of Spider-Man 4 and Venom 3, the CinemaCon 2023 had planned something different for day 1 of the event. At a time when fans were eagerly waiting for the Spider Man 4 announcement, the CinemaCon 2023 announced that its upcoming Spider-Man spin-off Kraven the Hunter will be rated R. Notably, there are many Marvel movies that come with an R rating, Kraven the Hunter will mark Sony's first superhero movie with the rating. For the unversed, the R rating means 'Restricted'. In this rating Under 17 requires an accompanying parent or adult guardian. While the storyline of Kraven the Hunter is mostly under wraps, fans are going gaga on social media after the announcement. Apart from Kraven, much-awaited movies like Bad Boys 4, Ridley Scott’s Napoleon, the Gran Turismo movie, Ghostbusters sequel and extended trailer of upcoming James Wan's horror movie Insidious: The Red Door was also dropped. With CinemaCon 2023 Day 1 has been concluded, below is the name of movies with tentative release dates which were announced by Sony-

1) Bad Boys 4

Oscar-winning actor Will Smith will be back in the sequel of Bad Boys 4. Yes! you heard it right. Will Smith attended the CinemaCon 2023 virtually. It was the first time, Smith was addressing a gathering after the infamous Slapgate that occurred in last year's Oscar ceremony. Notably, Bod Boys 4 announcement was expected by fans as its previous film Bad Boys for Life earned a whopping $426 million worldwide. During the announcement it was revealed Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah will be directing the movie and the script will be written by none other than Chris Bremmer. Bad Boys for Life star cast will include, Paola Núnez, Vanessa Hudgens, and Alexander Ludwig will return for the fourth installment alongside Will Smith and Martin Lawrence.

2) Dumb Money

While there is a surge in movies and series based on Video Games, Sony too joined the race. After the massive success of HBO's The Last of Us, Sony announced its Gamestop movie named Dumb Money. As per reports, Dumb Money will be directed by Cruella’s Craig Gillespie with veteran actor Paul Dano in the lead. During the CinemaCon 2023, both Gillespie and Dano approached the stage to present the crowd with the first five minutes of the upcoming film. As per the information available, Paul will play the character of a YouTuber who puts his life savings into Gamestop, and Keith, the name of Dano’s character, goes by the handle Roaring Kitty.

3)Insidious: The Red Door

One of the much-awaited horror movies of the year from the mind of James Wan, Insidious: The Red Door extended trailer was also released. 4) Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse

Termed as one of the most awaited animation movies of the year, which might even break Mario's record, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-verse's new poster was unveiled in CinemaCon 2023. For those who are unaware, Spider-Man Across The Spider-Verse will be a sequel to the 2018 Oscar winner Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse. It is slated to release in theaters worldwide on June 2, 2023, and therefore fans around the world are exited to watch the upcoming new content of the animated film
