Punjabi singer Karan Aujla on Saturday broke his silence after the Anti-Gangsters Task Force (AGTF) arrested his former manager Sharpy Ghumman and 8 others in the crackdown of gangsters singers and travel agents. Most of those arrested by the AGTF were travel agents who allegedly facilitated gangsters to flee the country using fake passports. The crackdown by the AGTF came days after Karan Aujla's video singing in a wedding reception in the United States went viral for all the wrong reasons. In the video, Karan Aujla was seen singing, however, it was the presence of Gangster Lawrence Bishnoi's brother Anmol Bishnoi which caught everyone's attention. Anmol Bishnoi is wanted in the murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala. As per reports, Anmol Bishnoi fled India via Nepal with the help of fake passport. Notably, Karan Aujla at that time had denied any links with Anmol Bishnoi by issuing a clarification. Now, after the crackdown of AGTF, Karan Aujla has broken the silence on the arrest of his former Manager Sharpy, and 8 other travel agents which the media is portraying as 'singer's friends'. Karan Aujla took to his Instagram handle and slammed the media for calling the arrested members as his friends and associates. Aujla stated that even though he knew them what they do in their life is not his fault. Karan Aujla clarified that the person in question who is being called his manager is not even on his contact. Karan stated that he has not talked to Sharpy for the last 2 years and in the meantime whatever he does in his life is not his call as even though he was known it does not mean he told him to do any crime. And if he has done any crime then the law should take action, whether he is Karan Aujla's friend or not. Furthermore, Karan Aujla lambasted the media for using his name in the news reporting and also warned to sue them for misreporting. Aujla stated that the arrested people have their own names but the media used his name in order to sensationalize the story.
The Punjabi singer further outlined that there are numerous times he has been attacked by Gangsters as well. Aujla stated that he has been a victim of extortion 4 times, 5 times firing have taken place at his home, but no channel ran this story. At last, Karan Aujla warned that if this kind of targeted reporting will continue, he will take legal action against them.

What did the Punjab Police say?
The Director General of Police (DGP) Punjab, Gaurav Yadav on Friday said that acting on reliable human inputs about the involvement of an inter-state travel agent in preparing passports using fake particulars, AGTF teams, headed by ADGP Promod Ban and assisted by AIG Sandeep Goel, in an overnight operation busted this gang with the arrest of its three members. The investigations reveal that this gang had linkages in states including Delhi, UP, Kolkata, Gujarat, and Maharashtra. The accused persons facilitated several gangsters to flee from the country using fake passports, said ADGP Promod Ban.
As per the official release, Onkar Singh runs an illegal immigration firm in Jalandhar. He was involved in making passports for gangsters using fake particulars and duping innocent people on the pretext of sending them abroad. During questioning, accused Onkar disclosed that he had procured passports on fake particulars for gangsters, including Varinder Pal Singh alias Veena Butter (Bambiha gang), and Jaswinder Singh alias Khattu (Dharminder Gugni gang involved in the target killings in Punjab), to help them flee the country.
