The second match of the Test series between India and England is being played in Chennai. Team India scored 286 runs in the second innings. He got a 195-run lead in the first innings. In this sense, England got a target of 482 runs. In reply, England lost 3 wickets on the score of 53 till the end of the third day. Dan Lawrence and Joe Root are unbeaten.
While the match is slipping away from the England cricket team, former England captain Michael Vaughan on Twitter has become a center of criticism. Vaughan had called the Chepauk pitch 'poor' and also said that 'I don't think it's a good test wicket'.
This was slammed by none other than England former off-spinner Graeme Swann who said that "I have no problem at all with a pitch offering this much spin (hardly a surprise naturally). We prepare green pitches to suit our bowlers at home when deemed necessary so it’s fair game. We should be taking notes on how to excel from @ImRo45 @RishabhPant17 and @ashwinravi99."
Now, former Australian leg-spinner Shane Warne has slammed the Vaughan. Warne took to Twitter and slammed the England cricket team in a series of tweets. Warne wrote, "India have now made 523 runs on this so called “bad pitch” and they still have 2 wickets in hand ! Thoughts ?"
Soon, Kevin Pietersen hailed Virat Kohli for his inning at the Chepauk and wrote, "He’s the greatest batter in the game of cricket playing right now - @imVkohli! England didn’t pick their best team so can’t complain. Missing Jimmy, BIG TIME!"
Warne on this wrote, "I agree re @imVkohli ! Question - why have England rested Jimmy, Jos, and Bess ? Don’t understand resting for a test match ? The best available players (not injured) should always play !"
Warne Hails Ashwin's Performance:
The ace off-spinner of India R Ashwin on Tuesday shocked everyone and struck his fifth century on a difficult turning track. On this, Warne wrote, "Well played, just a terrific knock that was on a tough spinning surface ! India have now made 614 runs with one wicket in hand."
